Our post was chartered on June 2, 1945. We had our meetings on the second floor of a building in downtown Golden. Thanks to our charter members forethought, they purchased the corner house and property on 10th and McIntyre Street. As time passed we found the need to expand and built additions onto the existing building. We also acquired the vacant land across the street for back taxes and expanded our parking lot. We later purchased the land and house on the southwest corner as well as the 2 lots behind.

We have a newly completed outdoor deck for your enjoyment. We are finishing a remodeling project which will be completed by the middle of February 2008.

Our members are from WWII, Korea, Viet Nam, Panama, Grenada, Gulf War, Afghanistan and Iraq as well as other qualifying conflicts.

We have an Army adopt-a-unit which will be deploying to Iraq in spring 2008. We are the only post in Colorado to have a Son's of the VFW unit. We also have Women's Auxiliary, Men's Auxiliary and Jr. Girls.

Post meetings are held the first Thursday and
the third Thursday of the month at 7:30 pm.

The Home board meets the second Wednesday
of the month.
